Gradient Atelier is an association of designers and creatives committed to make notions such as durability and recycling accessible through design. Under this name, they have been working on the development of objects made out of recycled and upcycled aluminium – a beautiful durable material. In December 2019 they drew together their first object. They created their own forge and tools, collected some material, learnt some sand moulding techniques and created BOLÉ, a series of recycled aluminium bowls, made out of used cans. This first object was independently made, as it was important for them to be able to control and realize each step of the process, from conception to production, communication and sale. Moved by the desire to share their work on a bigger scale, they decided to take their simple student project to the next level. In 2020 they created their own association, gathered around common values: Gradient Atelier. This association is considered as a space for multidisciplinary creation and experimentation, where each one can express themselves and create around a shared interest in ecology.
