Emma Casella is an industrial designer freshly graduated from ECAL in Lausanne. A city in which she still lives and currently works, as a school assistant in the same department in which she just completed her bachelor's degree. She was born in Graubünden and grew up in Ticino, developing from an early age a strong connection with the Alpine region in which she has always spent a lot of time. This environment has particularly marked her artistic practice, making her very sensitive about the often-forgotten traditions of the valleys and villages at high altitude, enticing her to highlight them. It was with this intention that the research on Swiss wool, which she began in August 2021 for her thesis project and which she is still developing today, was born.
