About Us
House of Switzerland Milano is a joint project by Presence Switzerland and the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia in partnership with Switzerland Global Enterprise/Swiss Business Hub Italy, Ikea Foundation Switzerland and Bally, and in collaboration with the Swiss Design Association, the Swiss Consulate General in Milano and Casa degli Artisti.
Following the initial, successful edition of 2022, House of Switzerland Milano has been expanded for the Fuorisalone 2023. A platform for Swiss design production has been installed, focusing on a different topic each year. URGENT LEGACY is this year’s theme. The aim of the House of Switzerland project, planned to run for three years, is to offer design practitioners an international stage and to build bridges to related industries as well as to audiences.

Presence Switzerland is the organizational unit for nation branding and public diplomacy of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. On the basis of the Federal Act on the Cultivation of Switzerland’s Image Abroad, it implements Switzerland’s Strategy for Communication Abroad. It supports the safeguarding of Switzerland’s interests abroad by using public relation tools. It explains the country’s strengths, positions and actions and contributes to a positive and nuanced perception of Switzerland through targeted communication activities.
