MOÏRA

MOÏRA is the new rug collection by Swisswool, crafted from locally sourced Valais Blacknose wool and brought to life by Swiss textile artist Claudia Caviezel. The virgin sheep’s wool is bought directly from local farmers at specific purchasing points organized by Swisswool across the country. Lantal Textiles, a Swiss manufacturer, spins the yarn and weaves the carpets, then transforms Caviezel’s artwork using innovative and environmentally friendly Deep Dyeing Technology. Through this collaboration between local farmers, Swisswool, Caviezel, and Lantal Textiles, a unique woolen statement piece has been created, featuring vibrant color compositions and a distinctive texture that highlights the material’s strength and vitality.
