Emerging designers and studios
HOUSE OF SWITZERLAND MILANO - “IN COLLABORATION” – MILANO DESIGN WEEK 2025
The House of Switzerland Milano is a joint project by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia and Presence Switzerland. This three-year initiative (2023-2025) is a platform to present the ingenuity and innovative power of Swiss design and its importance as a design nation during Milano Design Week. It aims to offer participants an international stage, giving visibility in press and fostering business opportunities. Built around a yearly theme, the House of Switzerland Milano showcases Swiss design through a collective show with emerging designers, studios, brands and institutions.
For Milano Design Week 2025, taking place from 7 to 13 April 2025, the House of Switzerland Milano will once again set up its quarters in the iconic Casa degli Artisti – a three-storey building composed of indoor and outdoor spaces, with a total surface of 1060 m2 plus a 2000 m2 garden, located in the heart of the Brera district.
OPEN CALL FOR EXHIBITORS
For this edition, the focus is to present how Swiss design works in collaboration.
From international associations and interdisciplinary initiatives to embracing diversity or simply fostering a spirit of togetherness, the House will demonstrate how collaboration unites individuals in the pursuit of common goals.
To explore, respond, or even challenge the theme, the House of Switzerland Milano is opening a call for exhibitors. Emerging designers are invited to apply with a single product for inclusion in a group show, while brands and institutions can submit an exhibition concept presenting a new collection, product or project. An international selection committee will evaluate and select the exhibitor based on the quality of their work, its alignment with the theme, innovative approach, and its contribution to a more sustainable world.
