Do you Speak Flower? is a new book by Alexandra Midal, Master Space & Communication, HEAD – Genève, Geneva University of Art and Design, highlighting the use of flowers in strategies of artifice and as an effective means of feminist resistance. At the crossroads of design, art and cinema, the essay explores the unsuspected tactics of concealment that can lurk beneath the delicate, romantic language of floriography. With graphic design by Rafaela Drazic, the body of work includes an essay by Alexandra Midal, a text in the language of flowers by Tristan Bartolini and photographs of floral auras by Studio Pflieger-Foegle.
