CoLAB: ICDP prospects unfolded
By highlighting the transformative power of interdisciplinary teamwork, this installation showcases projects that weave together the diverse fields of the Institute Contemporary Design Practices (ICDP) of the Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW (HGK Basel). Covering Fashion Design, Interior Architecture & Scenography, and Industrial Design, along with both its bachelor’s and master’s programs, the ICDP is inviting public participation within this exhibition through subtle, participatory elements while displaying the multifaceted nature of collaboration. As part of the initiative, Viennese duo mischer'traxler studio have been invited as curating guest lecturers to guide students through a series of workshops while offering expertise in the blending of art and design. Serving as an exchange of ideas, this installation brings the visions of emerging change-makers to the forefront, addressing current design challenges through a reflective lens.
