Conversation and Book-Signing with Alfredo Häberli

Alfredo Häberli, born in Buenos Aires now based in Zurich since the bustling 1980s, is a celebrated figure in contemporary design. Renowned for his innovative approach, he has worked with notable clients such as Andreu World, Alias, and Rado. Recently, he published a two-volume work with Scheidegger & Spiess. The first volume explores key moments and influences, particularly in Milan, shaping his design philosophy. Alfredo introduces us to Italian designers, shares insights from his icons, and recounts interactions with friends like Bruno Munari and Achille Castiglioni. The second volume offers a personal touch: Alfredo fields questions from thirty individuals in his network, providing thoughtful responses that offer deeper insights into his creative process. Now, he faces the in-depth questions posed by lecturer in design history and theory at FHNW, Dr. Meret Ernst.
